Send the details you already know
Tell us the model year, exact model, transmission, mileage, current modifications and fuel. Describe how you use the vehicle, what you want to change and your preferred timing. If it has a warning light or drivability problem, include the symptoms and any available fault codes. You do not need to identify computer part numbers yourself to start the conversation.
Confirm the scope before buying parts
Your written estimate should identify the approved parts and work, required computer access and calibration, and any additional items still to be confirmed. An existing tune or an online parts listing does not establish compatibility. We review already-installed modifications, but do not install customer-supplied parts.
Older vehicles and unusual combinations need the appropriate acceptance review. For pre-2014 vehicles, accepted work is normally limited to tuning; a potential Magnuson installation is reviewed individually. We use street tuning for supported GM trucks and truck-based SUVs.
Confirm readiness before travel or transport
A phone consultation is different from a work or drop-off appointment. Before you travel or send the vehicle, confirm the accepted work, the arrival arrangement and whether required parts or computer-access services are ready. Some applications need outside controller processing before tuning. The timing depends on the actual service, shipping, parts and shop schedule.
Ask which step is next and when to expect the next update. Parts arriving, installation finishing and a vehicle being ready for release are different milestones. Confirm pickup with the shop before making the return trip.
