Cam package or supercharger: where should I start?

Tell us how you want the car to idle, respond and drive. The Hot Rodder direction focuses on heads, camshaft and airflow; the LT1 Street Racer direction uses a Magnuson 2650. LT4 Street Racer and larger LT4 combinations have their own requirements. A shared package name does not make LT1 and LT4 parts interchangeable.

For an LT1 supercharger build, discuss the existing pistons and bottom end before choosing a power target. A package's advertised output is not approval to pursue that number on a stock engine. Fuel supply, cooling, condition and calibration must support the chosen combination.

What belongs in the complete estimate?

Compare parts, supporting hardware, installation, fluids, engine-computer access and calibration. Automatic-transmission tuning and any transmission-computer access should be confirmed separately for your exact car. Cam and long-tube-header projects include the required calibration in the approved work scope.

One historical Exodus LT1 Camaro SS scope itemized a Magnuson installation, fuel-pump installation and dyno tune separately. That scope illustrates why the kit price alone is not the complete project price; it does not establish a universal installed price or power result.

What if my Camaro already has modifications?

Send the installed parts list, current fuel, previous tuning information and any symptoms. Existing modifications can be reviewed; a misfire, leak or drivability concern may need diagnosis before tuning. Exodus sources the parts for accepted installations and does not install customer-supplied parts.

This page covers LT1/LT4 Camaro applications. Older LS3/L99 Camaros need their own scope review. For pre-2014 vehicles, accepted work is normally tuning-only, with a potential Magnuson installation reviewed individually.

What should I send before bringing the car?

Share the year, SS or ZL1 trim, engine, transmission, mileage, modifications, fuel, driving goals, location and preferred timing. Include whether you want a daily driver, a distinct camshaft idle or a larger boosted build. We confirm the combination, controller access, parts readiness and appointment before the vehicle arrives.
