Which Tapout package direction fits my goals?
White Belt is an entry direction with plugs, cooling-system fill/bleed support and custom tuning. Blue Belt adds airflow and exhaust work; Purple Belt adds fuel-system capacity and flex-fuel components. Brown Belt moves toward larger turbos and supporting engine and fueling work. Discuss sound, response, maintenance and daily use alongside the power goal.
The package lists above contain ATS-V-specific components. They are not a universal CT4-V Blackwing shopping list. Black Belt remains a coming-soon listing, rather than a released package with a promised output or delivery date.
Can I add a flex-fuel sensor and run E85?
The sensor, compatible calibration and adequate fuel delivery are separate requirements. We review the installed low- and high-pressure fuel hardware, intended fuel and goal together. A flex-fuel part or previous ethanol tune does not prove the complete setup supports a new combination.
For heat or repeat-run performance concerns, distinguish engine overheating from charge-air cooling issues. Tell us the symptoms, existing cooling hardware and intended use so the technician can establish the appropriate diagnostic or upgrade scope.
Does an engine unlock include transmission tuning?
Engine access, engine calibration, transmission access and transmission calibration are separate scope decisions. A CT4-V Blackwing with a previously unlocked engine computer can still have a different transmission requirement. We verify the installed modules and prior access work before confirming the estimate or appointment.
Historical Exodus CT4-V Blackwing scopes separately recorded engine unlock plus dyno tuning, and a previously unlocked engine tune with separate transmission work. Those records explain the scope distinction; they do not make an old price or inclusion apply to every LF4 vehicle.
What should I send before a consultation?
Share the full model, year, transmission, mileage, current parts and tune, fuel, driving goals, symptoms, location and preferred timing. We review existing modifications, but Exodus sources parts for accepted installations and does not install customer-supplied parts. Parts readiness and required controller work need confirmation before drop-off.
An ATS 3.6 is not an ATS-V, and a CT4-V is not a CT4-V Blackwing. For the supercharged V8 model, use our separate CT5-V Blackwing packages.
